If your Dakine bag gets dirty, we recommend hand washing with mild soap (like Nikwax Tech Wash), cold water and a soft bristle brush. If hand washing is not going to do the trick, use a front loader washing machine. To ensure your backpack doesn't get tangled, place inside a pillowcase or mesh bag before washing. Always use cold water, mild soap and run on a gentle cycle. Never bleach your pack. Hang to dry in a warm but shady place, ensuring both inside and out are dry before storing.

I cannot wait to start traveling again with this bag. I only was able to use it on one trip before the COVID-19 lockdown. There is enough space for essential clothes, laptop, books, headphones, and snacks! The backpack isn't huge so you don't feel weird carting it around the airport. It fits under the seat easily in front of you. I love it and would recommend it to other humans any day.

This backpack is perfect for a weekend getaway or carryon for longer trips. Not only does it function as a backpack, but the three-sided, zippered compartment opens like a traditional suitcase. The straps are comfortable on your shoulders, even when the bag is stuffed full. Love it!

The Split Adventure 38L Backpack is a comfortable and rugged backpack. For some reason, it is marketed on Dakine's website as a laptop bag, but it certainly goes beyond that. With 38L of capacity, it can just as easily be used as a weekend getaway bag. The separate compartments make it easy to organise your gear. The side straps allow you to either cinch it down or expand it to full capacity. So far, the seams and zippers have all proven to be very durable. It is definitely a quality built bag, as is the expectation with Dakine's gear. My only critique is the direction in which the main compartment opens up to access everything. It would be more useful if the 'hinge' was at the bottom of the bag, vice the side. This is a minor issue, however, and does not detract from the versatility and usefulness of the backpack. I am quite pleased with my purchase and will likely be coming back to Dakine for their EQ Duffle Bag.

I just picked up this bag for a trip to mexico, where we'd be doing lots of hiking in the jungle. I wanted a bag to replace my roller and be easier to carry. Great design, super comfortable. I used packing cubes in it and it worked like a charm. The tablet pocket is large enough to stuff a tablet as well as extra magazines in it. The strap on the back was perfect for my light jacket and hat. I'm really stoked on this bag, like my surfboard bags and snowboard bag, I'm always happy with Dakine stuff.

This is my second famine backpack, the first one lasted me well over 10 years. I needed something for traveling and this was what I felt was the best option and I was not dissapointed. The Singh straps inside pack clothes down nicely and allow me to travel with just a carry on if needed, it holds my iPad, bible, and all my cords with room to spare while still being able to stash it under a seat! Cannot recommend dakine
