Less is more with this 1-liter bike-specific hip pack.

We took our popular Hot Laps 2L Waist Bag and distilled it down to a one-liter version with an ultra-intentional design that features a single deployable water bottle pocket, external straps for pads, one cargo pocket with organization for tools, a tube, and snacks. Its compact size will stay put through the jankiest tech sections, but its deliberate functionality ensures you're repair-prepared. For those with a dialed kit, this is the ideal piece for everyday rides.

  • 61 cubic inches [ 1L ]

  • 0.4 lbs. [ 0.2 kg ]

If your Dakine bag gets dirty, we recommend hand washing with mild soap (like Nikwax Tech Wash), cold water and a soft bristle brush. If hand washing is not going to do the trick, use a front loader washing machine. To ensure your backpack doesn't get tangled, place inside a pillowcase or mesh bag before washing. Always use cold water, mild soap and run on a gentle cycle. Never bleach your pack. Hang to dry in a warm but shady place, ensuring both inside and out are dry before storing.

Excellent

Got the hot laps 2 bag for birthday last october and since then I use it on all short rides. The size is perfect for fitting keys ,multi tool ,gels and energy bars. I have a 34/36 waist and it fits perfect and even room for further adjustments. I can see from other reviews that they say it will not fit 36 etc but I don't understand why my bag adjusts way further than that. I'm very pleased with my bag and have recommended it to others. Excellent piece of kit. Thank you

Great but small

Really well built and perfect for your phone, keys and a couple snacks or tools. Water bottle holder was the big selling feature for me as my frame has no bottle cage mounts. If you wanna Cary more tools and tubes I’d go with the 2 L. The straps are new since an older version I had and lost. They are great for storing a jacket or layer.

great bag construction…

…ruined by a strap that is too short. 36 inch waist and the strap is uncomfortably tight. I could make it longer but I didn’t buy this expecting an arts and crafts project. Thankfully it fits my 8 year old.

The perfect pack but the strap is a bit short.

Let me start by saying that this pack is perfect! I purchased the Hot Laps 5L for biking, hiking and loved it so much I purchased the 1L for my everyday gear (wallet, keys, phone, etc). I love it, fits everything I need, however, the one caveat is the waist strap is very short. I’m a size 33 waist and it just fits with probably an inch to spare. If you’re a 34+ waist size it will not fit unfortunately. Dakine, I love your gear but please take note and extend the waist strap length.

Do you offer a belt extender for the tiny waist strap that comes on this bag?

Hi Chris, Thank you for contacting Dakine.   This issue has been brought to our team's attention and as of our last update, the Hot Laps series and the waist belts that were manufactured slightly shorter than normal, has been updated and units will be available on the site once we have rolled out our newest Spring-22' catalog!     So, please feel free to start your return/exchange (if ordered through u.s. site) as we should have units with the new belts available.  Please air on the side of caution as there's still a chance that these previous models may still be included in stock for the time being.  Just reach out if your new replacement bag has the same issue on the belt's length.    Cheers!   Sincerely, Dakine e-Commerce Operations Team
