A six-foot surf leash with state-of-the-art strength and fit for surfing up to shoulder-high waves

Dakine was founded on designing a better surf leash. The Kaimana surf leash builds on Dakine's surf leash legacy with increased durability, comfort and performance. Designed for use in shoulder-high surf, it uses 3/16-inch (5mm) Dura-Cord that's refined for reduced drag without compromising on strength. The low-profile ankle cuff conforms to the shape of your ankle for a zero-distraction fit.

  • 60% TPU, 15% Polyproplylene, 10% Neoprene, 10% Nylon, 5% Stainless

  • 6' x 3/16" [ 1.83m x 5mm ]

  • Up to a shoulder high intended use
  • Zero Distraction ankle cuff with ergonomic base plate reduces bulk and conforms to the ankle
  • 3/16" (5MM) Dura-Cord with Speed Pockets for maximum strength and reduced drag
  • Infinite Flex 360º molded leash ends increase flex to maximize strength while keeping the leash free from tangles
  • ThinLine rail saver streamlined design reduces bulk
  • 100% marine grade stainless steel swivels

velcro not working

The velcro become nonsticky after a couple of month since I bought it. Contacted Dakine customer service but never heard back. Didn't get the replacement I wanted.

Best Comp Leash I’ve ever owned

This is the third comp leach I’ve owned. I haven’t had any issues at all with this leash. I’ve used it in head | overhead surf sessions - knowing that is not intended for such - and, so far, it held pretty well! Totally recommended!

Awesome small wave leash

Maybe it’s all in my head but it feels like there’s a lot less drag with this leash. I paired it up with my Lost Hydra groveler and it makes for a great combo on those days where the waves don’t have much push. I’ve bailed a few times in larger surf and the leash seems to be holding up fine. Solid product.

velcro failed

I bought my son his first new board and this leash. With light use and less than than 9 months of use I noticed the velcro was not sticking the last few inches when I got out of the water. I forgot to mention this to my son and 3 days later the leash came off of his ankle and unfortunately smashed into the jetty buckling his new board, and unfortunately too damaged to repair. BEWARE!!!! I would not buy this leash again due to the poor sticking of the thin velcro and especially when the warranty does not replace a damaged board.

Warranty replaced (:

I bought this leash and within a month for some odd reason it snapped. So I emailed the Dakine team and within a day I got a response saying it’s covered under warranty and got a replacement leash mailed to me within the week. Just bought a bunch of Christmas presents for the fam. Much love!
